    San Francisco Health Plan (SFHP) seeks two energetic, organized and technologically-savvy HEDIS Administrative Coordinators to help measure the quality of preventive and chronic care services SFHP members receive.  The primary responsibilities of this position are 1) to store and track medical records retrieved to identify whether SFHP members received necessary services per national clinical guidelines, and 2) to provide administrative support to the Population Health team. HEDIS (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set) training will be provided


    The candidate should be able to work 40 hours per week during the HEDIS season. This is a temporary position that starts on January 15, 2019 and ends on May 8, 2019. 




    • Develop and maintain systems for storing and tracking HEDIS medical record documentation
    • Create reports for chart requests
    • Set-up for virtual access to remote EHR’s
    • Scan or upload medical records into HEDIS database
    • Call provider offices and hospitals to request medical records
    • Track and followup on all medical record requests
    • Perform clerical functions as necessary, including but not limited to, scheduling meetings, photocopying, mailings and filing
    • Perform other mailings and data entry for the Population Health team as needed
    • Communicate significant findings, including potential risk management issues, to the Lead Population Health Nurse in a timely manner



    • One year of experience in an administrative role preferred 
    • Strong time management, administrative, and organizational skills
    • Problem-solving skills with the ability to formulate and communicate recommendations for improvement
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in team environment 
    • Must be PC literate; MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
