  • Overview

     

    The Health Services Department Specialist plays a critical role in the operation of SFHP's largest department - Health Services.  In this role, you are responsible for significant project management of ad-hoc projects assigned by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), as well as general administrative support for the CMO and all Directors of the Health Services Department. The position requires the ability to execute deliverables independently and to manage a large quantity of small and large tasks with minimal oversight while staying on target with deadlines.  Other projects will be identified on an ongoing basis, related to NCQA accreditation, and other SFHP initiatives.  If you are mission-driven, have exquisite attention to detail, and poissess strong organization and project management skills, we want to talk with you!

       

     

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

     

    • Effectively manage the calendars of our Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Medical Director (MD), and the department Directors of our Clinical Operations and Pharmacy groups
    • Collaborate with stakeholders and prepare Excel graphs and Power Point slides to effectively present data and support CMO and deaprtmental presentations
    • Electronic document management (proofing, editing, formatting Word documents, filing, and keeping electronic filing system organized)
    • Organize and provide effective preparations for meetings (preparing agendas, documents and binders, ordering food, taking and organizing minutes, tracking completion of action steps)
    • Independent management of ad hoc and ongoing projects under the direction of the CMO
    • Basic project management of ad hoc department projects
    • Focus on providing outstanding customer service daily to both external and internal customers
    • Suggest process improvements that can streamline and improve SFHP customer service

     

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING

     

    • A Bachelor's Degree in related area or equivalent work experience
    • 3-5 years of work experience supporting executive level management
    • Demonstrated excellence with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • 3-5 years of administrative assistant or specialist experience - experience in a health plan environment preferred
    • Solid understanding of the NCQA accreditation process, Medi-Cal and the Affordable Care Act preferred
