POSITION SUMMARY

 

San Francisco Health Plan (SFHP) seeks an energetic, organized and technologically-savvy HEDIS Administrative Coordinator to help measure the quality of preventive and chronic care services SFHP members receive.  The primary responsibilities of this position are 1) to store and track medical records retrieved to identify whether SFHP members received necessary services per national clinical guidelines, and 2) to provide administrative support to the Clinical Quality team. HEDIS (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set) training will be provided.

 

The candidate should be able to work 40 hours per week during the HEDIS season. This is a temporary position that starts on January 16, 2018 and ends on May 8, 2018. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

 

  • Develops and maintains systems for storing and tracking HEDIS medical record documentation
  • Scans and enters medical record findings into HEDIS database
  • Calls provider offices and hospitals to request medical records
  • Calls members to identify date and provider of HEDIS service
  • Performs clerical functions as necessary, including but not limited to, scheduling meetings, photocopying, mailings and filing
  • Performs other mailings and data entry for the Clinical Quality team as needed
  • Communicates significant findings, including potential risk management issues, to the Health Improvement Department in a timely manner

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • One year of experience in an administrative role
  • Strong time management, administrative, and organizational skills
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to formulate and communicate recommendations for improvement
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in team environment 
  • Must be PC literate; MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
